BANGKOK, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua Silk Road run by China Economic Information Service (CEIS) on Wednesday established economic information cooperation with three institutions in Thailand, with the aim to strengthen Sino-Thai information connectivity and facilitate the economic cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong area under the Belt and Road Initiative through information exchanges.

The three institutions include the Stock Exchange of Thailand, InfoQuest, a leading business and media intelligence service provider in Thailand, and Sino-Thai Communications Group.

Among them, the Stock Exchange of Thailand and InfoQuest both agreed to exchange economic information with Xinhua Silk Road. Through the cooperation, Xinhua Silk Road will provide exclusive information on Thailand's policies, economy, industry, financial market, etc., to help investors' decision-making for their investment in Thailand. At the same time, China's economic information related to the Belt and Road will also be available in Thailand to help the Thai people understand business environment of its provinces and cities.

In addition, Sino-Thai Communications Group agreed to create the Thai version of "Xinhua Silk Road" information product, and make it one of the important sources of Thailand's access to China's economic information.

The signing ceremonies were witnessed by the Thai Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith and Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Lv Jian during a seminar held in Bangkok.

It was the first economic information exchange event initiated by Xinhua Silk Road during the annual Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Week.

Launched in 2015, with the Belt and Road at the core, Xinhua Silk Road has developed into the most comprehensive "information platform", "investment adviser" and "think-tank convergence" in both Chinese and English to offer full-process consultation online and one-stop services offline to all parties involved in the Belt and Road.
