BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) held a meeting on Friday to kick off compilation of a plan for the high quality development of new energy vehicle (NEV) industry from 2021 to 2035.
In compiling the plan, drafting group members should explore innovative approach for NEV industry advancement and its integrated development with other sectors such as energy, transportation, and information communication so as to make the NEV industry a new growth engine for economic and social development, Miao Wei, minister of MIIT and head of the drafting group stressed at the meeting.
The plan drafting group, established at the meeting, consists of MIIT, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Transport, among other authoritative departments. (Edited by Su Dan, Niu Huizhe)
