BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Russia’s largest cargo airline AirBridge Cargo Airlines announced that it has been the member of Global Smart Logistic Network built by Alibaba’s logistics unit Cainiao, so as to enhance the construction of smart logistic network jointly with Cainiao.
The Xinhua-run China Securities Journal reported on Monday that after joining in smart logistic network, AirBridge Cargo Airlines will provide optimal route resources for small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Asia, Russia, and Europe, and also provide ground handling and road access services, to optimize the process of transportation.
AirBridge Cargo Airlines has become the strategic cooperation partner of Cainiao, aiming to providing more efficient cross-border logistics service for SMEs in the world along with enhanced capacity of smart logistic network, Zhao Jian, general manager with Cainiao International said.
So far, Cainiao has connected 114 air routes around the world, with an average of 232 flights per day. Many well-known airlines at home and abroad, including Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, ABC Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, and China Eastern Airlines have become members of air transportation of the smart logistics network.
