NANCHANG, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- 99 centralized sewage treatment facilities of industrial parks in east China's Jiangxi Province have recently been completed and put into service, of which 89 ones were covered in the environmental protection inspection of the central government and connected with the eco-environment departments.
In recent years, Jiangxi has actively implemented demonstration projects for green parks and green factories. Six provincial green parks and 36 green factories were selected across the province as the demonstration projects.
To be specific, one national green park and 13 green factories were identified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The green coverage rate of industrial parks in the province has exceeded 30 percent.
At the same time, Jiangxi has set up strict entry thresholds for projects, clearly put forward the standards involving the input-output intensity, energy conservation and emission reduction, environmental protection and safe production, and prohibited high-energy, high-pollution and low-efficiency projects.
The province has also established long-term mechanisms such as dispatch supervision and rectification and implementation to strengthen the treatment of waste gas, waste water and waste residue. (Edited by Sun huanjie, sunhj@xinhua.org)
