KATHMANDU, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Norbu, proprietor of Tibet Holy Trust Industry and Trade Company based in Lhasa of China's Tibet Autonomous Region, is eyeing the Nepali market for its traditional high-end Yak cashmere products.

With this objective in mind, he participated in Nepal Chamber Expo-2018, an international trade expo that kicked off in Nepal's capital Kathmandu on Thursday.

The company which has already been selling wool for Nepal's carpet industry wants to expand its business at Nepal's market by exporting its Yak cashmere products.

"We are talking with potential importers from Nepal," Norbu told Xinhua on Thursday.

"It is the first time that we have introduced Yak cashmere in Nepal. I hope to receive good response for our products here," he said.

There are 15 Chinese companies participating in the expo, according to Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the organizer of the expo. Around 140 companies from various countries and regions are exhibiting their products and services.

Darhawug Rinbog Tibet Chang Co., another company based in Tibet Autonomous Region, is displaying its Tibetan alcoholic beverage in the expo. It is the second time that the company participated in the expo, after its debut in 2015.

"We are going to sign a contract with a Nepali firm to work as a dealer for our products," Tsewan, proprietor of company, told Xinhua on Thursday.

"I had brought two trucks of our products here in 2015 to participate in the expo and they were all sold in just two days. It proves that Nepalis love our products," said Tsewan.

During the opening ceremony, Nepal's former prime minister and co-chairman of ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal said Nepal has given priority to economic development as the country has achieved political stability. "We are also creating favorable environment for foreign investors," he said.
