BEIJING, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua News Agency and Notimex of Mexico agreed to further enhance exchange and cooperation as the heads of the two news organizations met here Friday.
During their meeting at Xinhua headquarters in Beijing, Cai Mingzhao, president of Xinhua News Agency, told Notimex President Alejandro Ramos that he was glad to see the two sides have achieved substantial progress in the area of economic news information cooperation this year.
Speaking highly of the sound development of bilateral relationship since the two news agencies signed a cooperation agreement in 1984, Cai said he hopes the two sides can consolidate current cooperation and strengthen cooperation in video and new media.
Ramos said Notimex appreciated Xinhua's support and trust and is looking forward to boosting cooperation with Xinhua in more areas.
