BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese insurance institutions are encouraged to invest in high-quality listed companies and listed companies launched by private enterprise as financial and strategic investor, said Ren Chunsheng, an official of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) at the recent China Wealth Management 50 Forum.
The regulator is making efforts to channel more insurance funds to the private or small and micro enterprises in a bid to support development of the real economy, said Ren.
Meanwhile, the China Insurance Investment Fund is prompted to set up the special fund to serve the national strategies and give support to the investment projects in line with the national strategies, from the scope of investment, investment ratio and solvency, according to Ren.
