MEXICO CITY, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) – A delegation from Xinhua News Agency of China visited Mexico's Notimex on September 27 to deepen news and economic information cooperation between Chinese and Mexican media.

Led by Zhang Yongping, general manager of Xinhua News Agency's marketing management office and Liu Mingxia, vice president of China Economic Information Service (CEIS) under Xinhua, the delegation discussed with Notimex over news and information cooperation in depth.

Xinhua's news and information products are welcomed by Notimex users thanks to a long-established relationship and good cooperation between the two parties, according to Notimex General Director Alejandro Ramos Esquivel, noting that Xinhua Silk Road of CEIS now has a special column on Notimex. We want to know more about Chinese companies, said the General Director.

Xinhua and Notimex have made solid cooperation in news and information products swap, said Zhang Yongping. Next step, more information on Chinese enterprises would be available on Notimex website through carrying out the Belt & Road Economic Information Partnership initiated by Xinhua, according to Zhang.

The two parties would work together to better serve the understanding and economic cooperation between the two countries, Zhang said.

The delegation witnessed a renewal agreement inked between Xinhua's Latin America branch and Notimex on further news and information products swap during their visit.

Xinhua and Notimex signed memorandum of cooperation last November and Xinhua's CEIS and Notimex inked Belt & Road economic information cooperation agreement this June.

As Mexico's state news agency, Notimex boasts influence in Mexico and Latin America with user spreading Latin America and Spanish-speaking areas. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
