GUIYANG, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The ASEAN-China Centre on Wednesday held a tourism culture exchange activity for the first time in Guiyang, capital city of southwest China's Guizhou Province.
More than 300 people including tourism officials of some ASEAN countries, and representatives of tourism and aviation enterprises attended the 2018 ASEAN "Belt and Road" Tourism Culture Exchange Week.
At the event, the Guiyang Municipal Government and the ASEAN-China Centre signed a memorandum of cooperation under which they will work together on exchanges and cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, education, culture, and tourism and information media.
The tourism culture exchange week is a new platform for the two sides to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation in the field of culture and tourism, said Chen Yan, mayor of Guiyang City.
Meanwhile, the ASEAN-Guizhou (Guiyang) Tourism Culture Promotion Center was officially unveiled at the event, which will serve as a platform for Guizhou Province to coordinate tourism culture resources with the ASEAN countries. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
