BEIJING, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Macao's import and export value reached 49.64 billion Macau Pataca (6.17 billion U.S. dollars) in the first half of this year, up 22.8 percent year on year, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).
In the first half of this year, total exports of Macao amounted to 6.2 billion Macau Pataca (0.7705 billion U.S. dollars), up 10.2 percent on year, while the total imports reached 43.45 billion Macau Pataca (5.3995 billion U.S. dollars), up 24.8 percent on year. The trade deficit expanded to 37.25 billion Macau Pataca (4.6291 billion U.S. dollars). (By Yang Bize)
