Foreign trade volume between China’s Tianjin and Russia exceeds RMB3.7bln Jan.-Apr.

Abstract : The import and export volume between China’s Tianjin Municipality and Russia reached 3.766 billion yuan during the first four months in 2018, up 24. 72 percent year on year, according to the Tianjin Commission of Commerce.

BEIJING, June 13 (Xinhua) -- The import and export volume between China’s Tianjin Municipality and Russia reached 3.766 billion yuan during the first four months in 2018, up 24.72 percent year on year, according to the Tianjin Commission of Commerce.

The exports rose 20.51 percent on year during the period, while imports grew 46.7 percent on year.

In recent years, Tianjin has seen its economic and trade exchanges with the Belt and Road countries including Russia increase significantly. Statistics showed that foreign trade volume between Tianjin and Russia in 2017 amounted to 10.524 billion yuan, with imports rising 60.83 percent on year to 3.278 billion yuan.

An official with the Tianjin Commission of Commerce noted that the government has issued supportive policies on participation of trade fairs, overseas trademark registration, overseas patent application and qualification certification to help local enterprises go global.(Edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
