Sinosteel contracts 400MW CBM thermal power project in Zimbabwe

Abstract : Sinosteel Corporation signed a contract worth 1 billion U.S. dollars with Zimbabwe to build a 400MW coalbed methane thermal power project and vigorously develop ferrochromium production in Zimbabwe, according to a report form bhi.com.cn.

BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Sinosteel Corporation signed a contract worth 1 billion U.S. dollars with Zimbabwe to build a 400MW coalbed methane thermal power project and vigorously develop ferrochromium production in Zimbabwe, according to a report from bhi.com.cn.

The project is located in the province of Matabeleland North of Zimbabwe and is expected to create nearly 25,000 jobs for the local community.
