BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has recently released a plan to foster 300,000 industrial Internet APPs for specific industries and specific scenarios by 2020, meeting key demands in the key links of the manufacturing industry, including R&D and design, manufacturing, operations, maintenance and operations management.
By December 2020, the rate of industrial technology software innovation in key business segments of the innovative application companies should reach 50 percent, said the plan.
China will develop the industrial Internet Apps in four directions. For the key manufacturing projects and the important equipment development, China will focus on developing safe and reliable industrial APPs with high support value.
For the key basic materials, core basic parts and components, advanced basic technologies, and industrial technology foundations, the country will develop the basic universal industrial APPs with strong inclusiveness and high reusability.
For the automotive, aerospace, petrochemical, machinery manufacturing, light industrial appliances, information electronics, it will develop the general industrial APPs with high promotion value and strong leading roles.
For individual needs of manufacturing enterprises, it will develop high-value enterprise-specific industrial APPs. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
