BANGKOK, May 11(Xinhua)-- JD CENTRAL, an online retail business that was launched by the joint venture between Central Group of Thailand and China's leading online retailer, JD.com, has announced that they will help the Thai small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to create more business opportunities both by selling their products on the JD.co.th platform and also by entering the Chinese market via JD.com.
Executives from JD CENTRAL and JD.com attended the Next Station: China! Seminar Series of Business Gateway to China event at the Ahyat Abalone Convention Hall of the Thai CC Tower jointly organized by the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Xinhua Silk Road of China Economic Information Service (CEIS) and the TCC Business Center.
Mr. Vincent Yang, CEO of JD CENTRAL, said that “JD.com and JD CENTRAL are delighted to have the chance to provide knowledge to the Thai SMEs on creating opportunities through e-commerce business platforms. We will help the Thai SMEs to expand their product bases to China through JD.com, which currently has over 300 million customers. As for JD CENTRAL, our mission is to create opportunities filled with happiness and a seamless online shopping experience, and we are committed to making Thailand an e-commerce center of Southeast Asia in the near future”.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Chodok Bhicharnchitr, Chief Merchandising Officer of JD CENTRAL, said that “JD CENTRAL is extremely glad to be a part of helping the Thai SMEs to broaden their business opportunities within digitalised markets by using e-commerce platforms to sell their products. JD CENTRAL has developed an operating system to train SMEs to learn how to use our platform. In addition, they will also be receiving other privileges that JD.co.th will have to offer soon”.
Next Station: China! Seminar Series of Business Gateway to China by JD.com was arranged to share the experiences of the Thai SMEs which have been successfully operating their e-commerce businesses in China. Experts from both JD.com and JD CENTRAL also attended the event. Together, they conveyed their knowledge and experiences, in detail, to the Thai SMEs on entering the Chinese market, as well as advice on increasing potential and creating advantages in running businesses in the digital era.
